Lead with the one thing that matters most
If your resources are limited (time, budget, team) here’s one decision that can make your outreach much more effective: lead with the product, not the company.
Whether you’re pitching informally or in front of a procurement team, starting with how cool your company is, what you do, your roadmap, your team, means doing double the work to make the product land.
Because once you finish pitching the company, you basically have to start a second pitch to explain the product.
If your company revolves around one product or service, focus your energy on positioning that one thing.
Build your narrative around it. Make that memorable.
This is product branding. And often, it’s the most strategic kind when you’re working with limited resources.
The key is always clarity. People don’t have time, or interest, for layered messages.
They’ll remember one thing. So lead with the one thing that matters most.
